In the great tradition of Nikonian Spreadsheets, and the even greater tradition of members helping members, Hqasem has created a D700 Custom Settings Spreadsheet for Microsoft Excel.
Actually, he has created two spreadsheets: a blank one for you to download and customize yourself, and his personal version, which shows you (perhaps a newbie D700 user?) the settings he uses on his own camera. His settings could provide you with a starting point, if the whole thing is just too huge to tackle right away.
Click the links below to download whichever version of the spreadsheet you'd like. There is no fee, and I hope there are no glitches.*

If you'd like more explanation on just what kind of spreadsheet this is and how it might be useful, see this thread in the Nikonians D700 Users’ Group forum.
If you'd like even more background and/or tips on how to use this and other methods of keeping track of your D700 menu settings, check out this thread as well.
